our holistic approach promotes a sustainable growth mindset
At Kindred Training, our holistic approach promotes a sustainable growth mindset that considers all aspects of our clients’ wellbeing. Part of this is offering passive therapy treatments, which are a great form of self-care that can help accelerate your recovery process. Treatments include fascial stretch therapy, and sports and remedial massage.

Fascial stretch therapy
Gain without pain.
Fascial stretch therapy (FST) is a form of assisted stretching. It is used to improve passive and active mobility and differs from other manual therapies in that it is not painful. While in training and massage, we gain range by pushing through discomfort. In FST, we ‘gain because there is no pain’.
Therapist-facilitated stretching differs from traditional stretching in three main ways:
- You do not need to perform it yourself — it is the one time when clients do not need to do anything and can have some time for themselves on the table, while achieving restoration and movement in the tissue.
- It is not painful and we do not stretch into pain.
- We are able to access ranges and stretch from angles that cannot be reached when self-stretching.
FST can help both athletes and general population clients in performance, recovery, rehab and prehab — particularly those experiencing limited mobility, chronic pain or tightness.
Sports and remedial massage
Relax, de-stress and renew.
There are a multitude of benefits that come with remedial massage that extend beyond addressing physical pain and restriction.
Massage can help relax, de-stress and renew.
Our massage therapists will provide an in-depth analysis into the root cause of the current pain or discomfort being experienced. To reduce the likelihood of your pain returning, your therapist will also provide you with actionable work to do after your treatment.
The team at Kindred Training are your wellness entourage — our massage therapists can communicate with your coaches to ensure you’re training program is working for your body.
